Delmar
It's the name of one of the characters in my all time favorite movie, O Brother Where Art Thou. I watched it the other day and got to thinking that I kind of like that name, with the nickname Del. What do you think?

At first I thought it was a female name and didn't like it at all. However, now that I know it's a male name I like it much more. It sounds very handsome.

I used to know one: he was an unusually nice person and also quite angelically beautiful. So I got a good impression of it. :) The sea association appeals, too.

I like it. It has a dark feel, but very kind and makes me think of the 30s.

I first heard this name in middle school. The classic Bad Boy on my bus had the name but went by Del. All the girls were in love with him, although I could not see why. He ended up going to juvie, then prison for beating his girlfriend. A real heartbreaker that one.So I'm not a fan of the name. It sounds unpleasant and unintelligent as well. To me, anyway. Not to offend. :D
