January
What do you think? Masculine or feminine, and nicknames? A good name in general?
Also, what do you think of Natane. It just came to me, but it isn't on this website. Good name? It would be masculine.

I don't like most month names. None that end in -ary or -er. The only one's I like is May, June, April, and August (all on girls) I know August is on here as a boy name and Augusta (which I find hideous)is the girl name but I know a girl August and I think it sounds girly with all the other month names.
Anyway not a fan of January but it isn't as bad as other month names (I see you have September below, that's way worse)
Only feminine though.
NN - Jan, Ari, Ann, Jana
Don't like Natane - looks like a mispelled Nathan to me.

I think of January Jones who is actually from where I live. It is sort of pretty in a way, but sort of awkward.
January is a gp of mine...I like and I don't know why haha. I feel like it might be a little too goofy to use in real life. I only like it as a female name and I prefer it on it's own rather than with a nn but if I was going to shorten it I'd use "Jan".
How is Natane pronounced? Visually, it looks kind of feminine to me.

I like it. I could see it being equally masculine and feminine. I tend to lean towards masculine because of a family name thing. Jan is the only logical nn, I think. It could work either way, too.
January doesn't seem like a very good idea to me. But if I had to pick, I'd say masculine with the nn Jan or Ary.
Natane...nah-TAHN-ee? Sounds African (that's pretty broad, I guess). It reminds me of some of the Kenyans I have met. I like it. I find it more feminine though. How are you pronouncing it?

I like January due to its happy, positive feel. Definitely feminine. Natane is odd -- reminds me of butane.
I like it, as a girl's name. I see it more as a girl's name than a boy's, because of January Jones, even though it's derived from Janus. I like month names over all :) September is on my GP list and August is one of my most favorite names.
March and October are the only months I don't like as names.
I don't like Natane. It sounds like the name of a gas - like methane, propane, etc. I also don't think it sounds masculine at all. It has a very feminine sound imo

I don't dig January as a name.
Natane sounds feminine to me, mostly because it's the Japanese name of the Pokemon gym leader known in English as Gardenia. I can't picture it on a boy, unfortunately.
