Cordelia vs Cornelia
Which do you like most and why?

Much prefer Cordelia, it's sweeter-sounding and has the Shakespearean association.
Cornelia, and indeed Cornelius, are popular to the point of tedium where I live. I quite like Delia and don't like Nelia, so I suppose that tips the scale to Cordelia - but the great Shakespeare heroine actually spoils it for me. Not my favourite lady.
I much prefer Cornelia. The 'd' in Cordelia sounds too hard. Plus, the 'corn' in Cornelia doesn't bother me much because I always see it in my Latin textbook.
Question- are you pronouncing Cornelia as 'kor-NEE-lee-ah' or 'kor-NAY-lee-ah' (or neither)? I think the 'kor-NAY-lee-ah' pronunciation is much nicer (it's the one we use at school as well), but that's just my opinion :)

Cordelia: I think of the raspberry cordial, a lovely sounding drink. Also the word cordial. Both lovely things to associate with a lovely sounding name.
Cornelia: I think of corns on the feet of an old lady named Cornelia. Sorry but Cornelia is such a dated name!

I prefer Cordelia. It's really pretty and sophisticated.
The Corn- part of Cornelia bothers me. If it weren't for that, I'd probably like it more.

Cordelia. I can't get past the "corn" in Cornelia.
Cornelia. To me, the "deal" part of Cordelia sounds pretty silly, as in Amelia-Bedelia silly.
I like both, but I prefer Cordelia. The "corn" part of Cornelia bothers me slightly.
It's always so hard for me to choose. At the moment, I'm liking Cornelia because I like the nn "Nell", but I do also love Shakespearean connection of Cordelia.
Cordelia hands down. Cornelia starts with "corn." :-(
Cordelia - It just sounds prettier
Cordelia. I think the "corn" part of Cornelia throws me a little. I like it but I like Cordelia better bc it has no ugly part :)
I like Cordelia more than Cornelia - I don't like the 'corn' sound. Cornelia also seems very cold to me whereas Cordelia is warmer although I still don't like it a whole lot
