I think it sounds equally masculine, and it really could go either way since it's a nature name. I like the combo Atticus Topaz, which randomly came to me one day, but as a name itself I'm not a huge fan of the sound of it.

I'm not sure if a boy would want a gemstone name. They might think it sounds too "girly."
