Harley...

I prefer it for a boy, because it makes me think of the motorbikes and they just seem more of a guy thing to me.
I think:
1. it's ten years past its prime; no longer seems fashionable.
2. of Harley Davidson. Inevitably, strongly, unfortunately. Actually, I get that catchy little tune that goes "Harley David-son-of-a-b" .. stuck in my head.
3. other than that it'd be okay as surname-to-girl-names go; not my style at all but not horrible.

I like it, it sounds spunky. :) Although, I like it on a child/teenager, but I'm not sure if it would work on an older woman.
I knew a girl called Harley and she really suited her name. I prefer this name on a girl more than on a boy.
Way too masculine for my tastes. I tend to think that these types of names on girls age the worst.
I don't care for masculine-sounding names on girls. Sorry.
Ditto.
Since I happen to know that the actress who seems to have inspired the frequent use of Harley as a female name, Harley Jane Kozak, was born Susan and changed her name to Harley as a direct result of finding the name on a motorcycle, the name definitely conjurs up images of the motorcycle to me and so sounds rather "blue collar". But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Harley is too masculine for me. I don't find it attractive, and I'm sorry to say that it does sound like a motorcycle.

The other day I was actually thinking, "Harley would be a nice name for a girl". I like it on a girl =) not on a boy.

I think it's lovely for a girl. I do think of a motorbike, but not enough to make that a deciding factor.
Harley sounds very chic, and it's a good alternative to the bland Hayley.
I've only come across the name once, and it was on a little boy. His name was Harley-North, complete with hyphen :-)

I actually used to know a girl named Harley--her dad named her after, yep you guessed it, Harley Davidson! I still like the name though. I don't think I could use it as a fn maybe a mn.
