My sister had her baby last month (January 25 - one month after christmas!), and after much deliberation she settled on Vivienne Piper, though she'll be calling her Piper (especially since the baby's last name also starts with a P...). I couldn't talk her out of Piper, but I'm satisfied with Vivienne.

Though I don't typically like Piper by itself, I think the combo Vivienne Piper works surprisingly well--probably because Piper sounds a bit like a surname.

It's a cute combo. I've never understood the point of naming someone a name and then calling them by their mn. Why not just use the name you are going to call them as the fn and make it easy for everyone!

Vivienne's lovely, but I find Piper downright annoying.

Vivienne certainly is gaining popularity! I can see why - it is a gorgeous name. I'm glad that it's in the first name spot and that Piper can fall back on it if she pleases. Congratulations on becoming an aunt!

I have never liked Piper as a name. However, Vivienne is nice.
