Parker
Thoughts on the name Parker?I just found a friend who is pregnant is going to name her son Parker. This is the second friend in a year that has gone with Parker & I just don't get the appeal. It brings to mind for me a spoiled rich chubby kid and I imagine him getting called "porker".

Sometimes.. I've heard rainjackets.. occasionally called Parkers. So now, thats all I can think of. That put aside, I don't really like it.

I don't like it either. It seems like it's trying to hard to sound upper-class and elite, but it fails miserably.

Yep, spoiled chubby kid. Or a school bully. I'm not seeing the appeal either..

I like Parker. It is one of the few surnames that I would actually use.

I can totally see the porker connection. I don't mind it too much although I like Porter more (still sounds like porker though)

I like Parker.I've heard it quite a lot lately too. I think it's possibly due to Desperate Housewives Lynette's 'p' named kids! Parker, Porter, Preston, Penny and Paige.
