Desideria

It is very beautiful. I'm pretty sure it's on my PNL too.
I like it well enough, but I prefer "Desiderata" because of the poem.
My feelings for Desideria take a bit of a build up.
I grew up loving the name Desmond for a boy because my parents had a friend named Des and I loved the nn Desi. Looking for a feminine version I wanted to love Desiree. It had a pretty sound, but the "desire" aspect bothered me. It felt too sexual to give a dd. Then I discovered that when French parents use the name it's with the meaning that the child is desired / wanted by them; the child is loved and anticipated. So that changed my whole attitue to Desiree.
Then, I found out that Lucille Ball's dh Desi was actually Desiderio. Wow. Great name for a boy. And then I realized the feminine form, Desideria, ("dez-i-DEHR-ee-uh") existed. Now I had a gorgeous and unapologetically frilly alternative to gorgeous, sleek Desiree. Yay! :-) The many moods of "Des."
And for anyone out there who isn't feeling Desideria, how about Desdemona?

I don't like it. It reminds of Desiree that I find tacky. It also gives a kind of stripperish vibe.
Looks nice, but a cumbersome and unattractive pronunciation.
