WDYT of Prudence?
What do you think of the name Prudence? Also, what names would you pair with it in a combo? I tend to like more classic, British-style names, though I do like some Irish names. I am not big into more kr8tiv names, however. The combos I have come up with:Prudence Victoria
Prudence Catherine
Prudence Margaret
Prudence Rosemary

I really enjoy Prudence. I think it has hipster revival appeal. It definitely makes a statement.Prudence Rosemary is nice and fresh sounding. The others sound a little too authentically old-fashioned. Some others you might enjoy:Prudence Chloe
Prudence Ivy
Prudence Lila / Prudence Lilah
Prudence Lucy
Prudence Phoebe
Prudence Lily
Prudence Cora
Prudence Violet
Prudence Annabella / Prudence Annabel
Prudence Annabeth
Prudence Eliza
Prudence Cleo
Prudence Kate
Prudence Nell
Prudence Molly
Prudence Odette
Prudence Elodie

I deteste Prudence with a passion. I know some users here love it, but it's the PRU part of it that makes me gag. I think of prunes.

I don't know how I feel about it as a fn. I don't dislike it, but there's something very slightly off-putting about it. It's not the harsh sound, I don't think. I think it might be the "dence" part just not being my favorite. But anyway, Prudence Margaret and Prudence Rosemary are lovely. My Prudence combo is Emma Prudence, which I love. Some other ideas:Prudence Alberta - ooh, I love this!
Prudence Dulcinea
Prudence Eugenia
Prudence Henriette
Prudence Iðunn (see Ithunn)
Prudence Malvina
ok, I definitely love it paired with something regal.
Prudence Fínmhidh (FIN-vee, "wine-mead")
Prudence Fionnmhaith (FIN-va, "fair, good")
Prudence Tuilelaith (see Talulla)
Oh yes, it goes wonderfully with some Irish stuff, too. I think because it sounds so pious.Okay, I've now talked myself into liking it. :)

I have a soft spot for names that are also English words, but I don't like Prudence. I think this is because it makes me think of the word "prude." I do like Patience, which is somewhat similar.
