Desmond or Rhys?

Congratulations!
You can't go wrong with either one. They are both handsome classics that will serve your son well throughout his life.
Desmond is my #2 favorite name for a boy and has been for years. I love it because my parents had a friend from Ireland named Desmond (called Des). The sound of Des has been imprinted in my heart. Plus, it means "from Munster / southern Ireland" which is where my family is from so you can see how biased I am.
That said, I still think Desmond sounds more like a name for a grown-up than Rhys. Rhys is great for high school. But Desmond is great for the office.
So I vote for Desmond Rhys. :-)
