[ah-VEH] (Ave Maria) or [AHV] (Portuguese for bird)

I pronounce it "AH-vay" as in Ave Maria. I'd be more inclined to use Eve than Ave.

I'd start with AH-vay like Ave Maria. If that got weird looks I'd rhyme it with Dave. :o)
I'm not a big fan of any, but I'd use Eva under duress.

"AH-vay"Like Ave MariaAve is an interesting choice. I like it but would not feel comfortable using it, being non-Christian. Of course I suppose by that logic I couldn't use Eve either? Hmm. I do like Eve though.

Um... well the nerd who knows classical Latin in me wants to say AH-way. But I'd know that's wrong, and probably say AH-vay, as in Ave Maria. If that was wrong, I'd guess AYV, as in the first syllable of Avery. I'd use Eve "Evie".

Like the first part of Ave Maria.I like Eve as a middle name.

AH-vay, as in Ave Maria.I dislike Eve, and Ave seems weird as a name, especially since it also makes me think "avenue." But I guess between the two I'd have to go with Eve.

AYV as in Dave, or AV as in avenue. I am guessing you're after AV-eh, as in the Latin for hail, but anyone who wasn't a Latinist or a Catholic would probably go for one of the first two.If I had to, I'd choose Eva pronounced eh-va.

Just curious what other people saw actually....
And I love your prn of Eva, it's my favorite!

If it was a full name, I'd say AH-veh or AH-vay. If it was a nickname for something longer, it might be AYV.I'd use Eva "AY-va".

AV-eh-nyooJust kidding.AH-veh, as in Ave Maria.
Barring that I'd say it to rhyme with Dave.I'd be most likely to use Eve (lovelovelove) or the not-really-related Evening (lovelovelove).

Oh, Evening is a total GP of mine! There was a BA with it I posted a while back... I'll have to look now. It was absolutely lovely. EDIT:It was Evening Natalya Rose. That was a great name.

I love that! Evening Natalya Rose is gorgeous, and I like that they added Natalya in there, because I feel like Evening Rose would be too.. I don't cutesy?

I would pronounce it AH-vay, like Ave Maria. Though the first thing that would pop into my head would be AHV, like Ave short for Avenue. I'd use Eva. (EE-vah)
