I prefer Damian. This may seem really shallow, but Damian seems more intelligent and sharper than Damon, which seems thuggish and slow. I like that Damian has a bit more clarity and sparkle and energy, while Damon is earthy and dense. I prefer Damien as a spelling though.

PS, I have a cousin named Damon and he's not a thug at all so I don't know where I get that association from. He is a good country boy, actually.
