I must respond because Anastasia is my name.
I have to say I do enjoy the name; it’s a rare occasion when I'm not complemented on my name. Which makes me think if so many people like this name why are they not more Anastasias in the world....
And people always ask if go by a nickname and the answer is no. If you are too lazy to say Anastasia that's your problem not mine. People who try to call me Ana when I never introduced myself as Ana will always get a dirty look from me or the eye roll. :-P They learn quickly!
I rate this name with an A. It's historical, unique, feminine and yes grand (I like that description of yours).
