Tiber
This is inspired by AET's post about Tiberius. So what do you think about naming a boy Tiber after the river?

I like Tigris way more than Tiber, because it sort of sounds like the word tiger said with a lisp. Tiberius is a great name and I would use that and then have the nn be Tiber instead.
When I imagine a little boy saying that his name is Tiber, I can only guess that people might think he is mispronouncing Tiger. Not that that is a bad thing, and it is certainly easily corrected. Actually, I think I kind of like it. Tiber, nickname Ty maybe? As long as his middle name is not River, I think it's good to go! :o)
I like it! A lot less name than Tiberius, so I wouldn't feel like it had to be a mn. I can totally envision a boy named Tiber! (then again, I'd also be all for naming a kid Alwen / Tigris / etc) :P
Yes, that's what I was thinking. I like Tiberius as a middle name but Tiber might be first name material.
