Identical twins are a completely random occurrence. They're not genetic as far as scientists have discovered. The type of twins that run in the family are fraternal twins.I like Roxane pretty well, and I love Roxie. I think I would prefer Roxana or Roxanna, but both are nice. Even though you said Marie is a family name, I still find it so very fillery. I bet it's a family name for a good majority of people. What about Roxane Mary? I think that's so much fresher and absolutely gorgeous.I have to be honest and maybe a bit harsh and say that I think Tira-Lee looks really trashy. I'm sorry, I know that's not a nice thing to hear but it's what I immediately think when I look at it. I think Tira Lee Rose without the hyphen is better, or even just Tira Rose. Rose is also a very very popular middle name for girls right now and it seems fillery to me as well, but not quite as boring as Marie. Have you considered Rosalie Tira or Tira Rosalie? I think that would be gorgeous, even if Rosalie is a bit close to Roxane. You could call them Rosie and Roxie! Or you could even swap them around a little and go for Rosalie Tira and Marie / Mary Roxane.

I love Rosalie Tira. And I have to agree: Identical twins are random, although they are more likely to occur in a woman's early thirties. It's how my sister-in-law ended up with triplets - she was fraternal twin and inherited that trait, then one of the twin's eggs split, giving her a set of identical twins.

Roxane Marie and Tira-Lee Rose aren't really my style, but they're still good and would work well for (potentially identical) twins! Although "Rose" and "Lee" in the same combo makes me think of Gypsy Rose Lee, and I want to say "Tira-Rose Lee" instead of "Tira-Lee Rose" because of that. They do fit well though.

I love Rose. It's always stunning, no matter how overused as a mn it is. Roxane isn't bad, but I prefer Roxana or even Roksana. Roxie is a cool nn. Roxane and Tira-Lee are very mis-matched imo lol!

How could your Mother-in-law be so sure that your chances of fraternal twins are high? Are you likely to release two eggs at once? There are factors which can increase a persons chance of conceiving twins, I am just curious as to what yours are. I know that you're quite young so I am presuming you aren't taking fertility meds, but I don't know your ethnicity (that can play into it). I know that Marie and Rose are family names for you but I cannot help but see them as tired. Would you ever consider Rose Roxanne? That's got bite to it. Tira-Lee I don't like. It doesn't seem substantial at all, or attractive.Edit: I posted this reply when the original post still read 'fraternal twins' rather than identical. My curiousity stands though, not sure how your MIL plays into the chance of a fertilised egg splitting.

I like Roxane, Marie, and Rose on their own, but I'm not crazy about the combos.Congratulations, though. :)
