Emilia
How does everyone pronounce Emilia? It's different than Amelia right? Uh-meal-lee-uh?
Replies
While I pronounce Emilia and Amelia the same way, they give me different feelings.
Amelia has always struck me as simpering and annoyingly sweet. But Emilia is strong, intelligent and adventurous. Emilia has the added benefit of bringing ancient Rome alive to my imagination. My stock combo is Victorine Emilia. You like?

For me, Emilia is more "em-MEE-lee-uh" whereas Amelia is more "ah-MEEL-yah".
For me, it's pretty similar. There's a slightly more "eh" sound to the first syllable rather than "uh" but other than that, they are exactly the same.
Same here
Agreed.
