WDYT of Lucia.
It's one of my new faves, but mostly for a middle name. Just wondering what you all thought of it.

prefer LUCA
I like it! I prefer prn Loo-chee-uh, but Loo-see-uh is growing on me a lot because of the nn potention. Lucy is Mikey's grandma's name, so I'm getting obsessed.
I think it would be pretty as a mn, too, but I have problems. To me, it's very Italian sounding (maybe because of my prn). I would have no problem with Ottavia Lucia Mylastname, as I think it works even if I'd get weird looks, but Mikey's last name is as English as they come, so it would be awkward to me. Now, I suppose with Loo-see-uh it would be more anglicanized, though?
Keep us posted with first name options! :)

pretty name
I love it the way you're pronouncing it (loo-SEE-uh). So beautiful and refreshing after all the Lucy's running about :-)
I don't like the other pronunciations, because 'loo-CHEE-uh' would be too confusing for English speakers, and 'Loosha' just sounds weirdly Americanised to me. (I don't do Alicia when 'uh-LEESH-uh', either.)

I love it, but only if you're saying it loo-CHEE-ah. LOO-shya and LOO-see-yah don't sound nearly as nice to me.
I think it's wise to use it as a middle name, since it's so easy to mispronunce.

I think it's rather pretty but I still like Lucy so much better! It would make a rather pretty middle name, what were thinking to pair it with?

A very pretty name : ) I only like the pronunciation loo-SEE-a though. I can't stand the LOO-sha pronunciation, and I dislike the loo-CHEE-a pronunciation.

It depends. When pronounced loo-chee-ah, it's one of my favorites. As loo-sha, I like it. As loo-see-ah, I don't care for it at all. It seems like the loo-sha pronunciation would make the best middle name in most cases.
How do you pronunce it?
Loo-chee-a, Loo-cia, or Loo-sha? I love it pronunced either loo-sha or lu-cia. :-)
