Admitedly, i kinda like it. It's my favourite "dated" name, if you know what i mean.

The weirdest thing happened to me with this name. Until I read this post and its replies, I thought I hated the name Jennifer. But the more I said it and looked at it, I realized that I really do think it's a cool sounding name. I would find it very refreshing to see Jennifer (esp nn Jen(n) or Jenny) on a baby as opposed to on a woman between the ages of 25-40.Same thing recently happened with Andrea and Chelsea for me :)

Very common and very boring, at least to me.

Pretty, and Jenny is a good nn. It was never megapopular where I live, so I don't know if it's usable elsewhere.

It's ok. I prefer Genevieve though.

I absolutely love Jennifer. Tons of cute NN potential. However, many people feel this name is too dated.

I used to love Jennifer in the 70s. Alas, I'm now done with it. It's just too played out. I read somewhere that after the 80s or 90s US Census, Jennifer officially became one of the top 10 names in America (up there with Mary, Margaret, etc.). Still, it's a pretty name. Perhaps a creative nn would freshen it up a bit.

I wasn't in school with the oceans of Jennifers born in the 1980's. So the name is still fresh, bubbly and alive for me. I've always loved it, and the oh so friendly nn Jenny. Jennifer Carys is my stock combo.

It's a nice name but I grew up with about 50 Jennifers so the name doesn't "wow" me much. But I do think it's pretty objectively. It would actually be nice to start hearing of baby Jennifers again. I wish people would take a rest with Emily...it's the Jennifer of today!

I like it. I only know one or two Jennifers so although I know it had a period of wild popularity, it never had as much of an overused feel to me as, say, Jessica and Ashley. I love Jenny, whether as a nickname or on its own.

I like Jennifer/Jenny, despite its staggering popularity in the 70's and 80's. Back then, naming your daughter Jennifer would have been like naming her, "Hey, you!"It's a nice name, though. It just needs a loooong rest.

I really like Jennifer, it has been overused and somewhat dated, but it's such a sweet name. I love Jenny and it has a softness to it without seeming weak, it's one of those strong girls names imo. I don't think DBF likes it. But that just means I'd be happier to see it used by someone else. :)

Jennifer, along with her friend Jessica, is in her first year of teaching high school and still hasn't gotten over her bossy lifeguard complex yet. I've always thought it was trite and a name hopelessly associated with bossy girls who make me mad.

I don't like it, because it's really overused.

I like the sound of it, but it's way too popular among people my age to consider using. I still encounter a lot of Jennifers. Yes, it's less popular these days, but it's still fairly common and not ready for revival yet.

I actually really like Jennifer -- it's such a sprightly, chipper name. Also, Jenny is an endearing nickname.

At one point way overused and now dated. But even if it weren't for that, I don't like the "fer" ending, though I do like the nickname Jenny.

It's one of my top girl names

I think it's dated but it's not a bad name. I wouldn't use it but I still like to hear it. I'm a Jennifer Aniston fan which might make me biased ;)

I think it's overused and tired, to be honest with you. I don't like it at all.
