I had never heard of these people before, but...
"Constantine Maroulis is a dad!
The American Idol alum and Angel Reed, who met while starring in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, welcomed daughter Malena James last night.."
Ok, I wish they had used Jane instead of James!! I don't like when people use masculine names for girls. Maybe I'm just a stick in the mud.
But I do like Malena. I'd prefer it spelled Malina. I have a cousin Melinda that is called Malina by family... Mindy by most people.
Anyone else heard of James used as a female name? It does have a catchy-ness for the MN spot. I know actress Kristen Stewart's MN is Jaymes.

James is honoring.
Constantine's middle name is also James.
Not sure why they decided to give it to a daughter though.
I guess Malena is ok. I'm not really into it.

Of all the cool Greek names he could have used and he uses that?! I'm disappointed.
I usually hate masculine names on girls, but as a middle name it doesn't bother me so much and James does have a soft touch. I think people often forget that most of the time you only use your first ant last name, so your middle name is like a secret piece of information that you can chose to share or chose not to, and I think it would be pretty cool to find out a friend's middle name was James. A little quirky, but not too weird if she has a normal first name
