Interesting old BA
While looking through some old Baptismal records, I saw one for a man named Stonewall Jackson *lastname*. He was born sometime in the 1870s, but I can't remember exactly when. (For all non-Americans on the board, Stonewall Jackson was a famous general of the Confederate army during the American civil war.)Thoughts?

It sounds nice but the idea of being named Stonewall, which basically means "stop abruptly" doesn't seem appealing to me. neither does being named after a confederate general...

Well, if they were from the South, then I suppose it would've been nice to be named after a Confederate general. If they were Northerners/from Border States... perhaps they admired his bravery?Still, it's a pretty kick-a$$ name.

Huh. That must have been like a celebrity name back in the day...
