So, it can be said that the impression I get is that of Nathan Lane's houseboy.

It makes me think of the character in Only Fools and Horses. It feels dated and frumpy.

I see it as dim-witted and bumbling, but kindly. So pretty Dangerfield-esque, but not perverted. It also has a bit of a pretentious air to it - you just know a kid named Rodney is mommy's favourite darling.
