What about the name Cleopatra? Cleo for short? The name certaintly has an impressive namesake.

I wouldn't use it myself (except on a cat...) but I like it and would love to meet a Cleo whose full name was Cleopatra.

Cleopatra has always struck me as too over the top for a real person. It's into the realm of camp for me. I don't know why Guinevere feels useable for me, but Cleopatra doesn't. Weird. I do love the nn Cleo (or Clio as a full name), though. I see Cleo as a nn for Clementine.

O.T.My husband has a cousin named Sheherezad.(that may not be the spelling!)He and cousin are from the Middle East, but still..
She's usually called Sherry.

I love Cleopatra to death but agree that it's OTT for real life. However, Cleo would make a very cool full name by itself (I don't like the Clio sp much).
