I love Abigail. It also honors my grandmother, whose middle name is Gayle (I dislike that spelling...). I am planning on using it in the middle name slot, due to it's popularity. However, if it isn't as popular when I'm having the child, I would consider it as a first name.

I like Abigail, with or without the nn Abbey. I also like Gail; I'm used to Gail being a full name but it's good as a nn for Abigail too.

The BIG, is a turn off for me. I'd much prefer just Gail.
