I love Alexandra. At one point I would have said that my only problem with it is that I don't like any of the nicknames. I especially dislike Alex, I'm not crazy about Lexie, Sandra I kind of like but it seems dated, and because it became an accepted name in its own right I really wouldn't want it as a nickname for Alexandra. I've known two Alexandras, one went by Alex and one went by Sandy, and I don't like Sandy, either.

But I discovered that the full name of my SO's daughter, whom he always referred to as Zan, is Alexandra. I must say, I do like Zan.
