I think it's fine. The people who say it isn't usable are probably non-namenerds who are just unfamiliar with the name. In my opinion, it's pretty and strong, while still being feminine.
I don't think the teasing potential is too great. Kids might poke fun at it for a while, but I think they'd lost interest. Besides, it's no more outlandish than some of the kre8tyve names I'm hearing these days.
