Coppelia
What do you think about Coppelia? I've fallen in love with it recently. All I know about it is that it's a ballet character. Is it a good name or is it too close to...ehm...copulating...?

Oh, it's nice. Unsurprisingly I think of shining copper. I never even thought of copulation, but then I'm slow on things like that.
I do think that it is close to copulate, but perhaps not overtly so. I think it is exceptionally lovely, and it would make a beautiful name. It suits a ballerina well, come to think of it.
It reminds me a lot of Cordelia, Coraline and the like, also.

I was about to mention the copulate similarity - and then I saw you already had. I'd give the name a miss for that reason.
I love Daria, but wouldn't use it for a similar reason.

She is a lifesize doll, named after her creator Dr Coppelius. A nice young man falls in love with her - of course, he only sees her through a window. His girlfriend Swanilda lures him into the upstairs room and winds up all the dolls so they dance in wonderful jerky movements until Boyfriend collapses in exhaustion and sees the error of his ways.
Good ballet. Good fun! See it if you can. But it's a one-owner name.

I absolutely love it, one of my favorite ballet's. It's not too close to copulating.
It's the sort of name I can't imagine on a real person. But I think of "copper" more than "copulating".
Copper was my first thought as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if high school kids would come up with "copulating." Wait... it's been a long time since I've been to high school, do most teenagers even know that word? ;)
If a word contains the potential for a filthy snigger, teenagers will know that word! Just as preschoolers who can't remember where they put their most prized possession or if they've had lunch can bore you rigid with the names, sizes and extinction dates of every known dinosaur ...
