I think Esmeralda is lovely, especially with the nn Esme. Perdita I don't like though. I just don't like the sound or look if it.

I love Esmeralda. Love it. OTOH, while Perdita has an interesting sound, it reminds me of perdition (not the most pleasant association).

Pretty negative, for different reasons. Esmeralda is extremely long and sounds clunky; which is odd really because it's also fancy to the point of being ornate. Too much of a good thing altogether. And Perdita might be shorter and with a lighter rhythm, but it could still shorten to Perdy, which should put any thinking person off it for life. For the record, I'm very fond indeed of Esmeralda Weatherwax, known as Esme, and of Perdita the Dalmatian. But not of their names.

I like them, but I personally wouldn't seriously use them. They seem a bit much in my opinion.

Esmeralda feels over the top to me, I can't imagine it on an actual person. Perdita could be cute on the right type of girl, who can carry off the posh vibe.

Esmeralda is all kinds of awesome, but Perdita sounds like the name of a fancy lap dog.

I rather like Perdita, I find Esmeralda too frilly.

Perdita I like. It could work on a refined, feminine girl.Esmeralda seems like the name of a Disney princess, not a person. I have known someone by this name, she had waist length hair and no brains.

Perdita is a dog in 101 Dalmations. I can never get over that... If it wasn't, I would like it I think. Esmeralda is nice, but I prefer just plain old Emerald.
