Desdemona is gorgeous. I would use Desi as a nickname. I was also thinking that Desmona would be pretty as a full name. Don't know if it's legit or not though.

I like it. It's got serious chutzpah. I would NOT mess with a family that named their kid Desdemona. I'd probably shorten it to Dez or Dezzy, but I really like Mona. It just wouldn't happen, I know me.

I took a liking to that name while I read the play and watched the movie as well. I would imagine Des or Desi would be good nicknames.

I love Desdemona. It has such a dark and yet elegant, almost regal quality to it. It's beautiful.

I like it! Des, Mona, or Desdemone (Othello says Desdemone somewhere in the play, if I remember right...)
I wouldn't use it though. Now if she had taken Othello's sword and killed Iago, then she would be worthy of naming a kid after :P
