So. This friend's cousin named Marsali, does the emphasis go on the first or second syllable? (This is too good to pass up.) At least I know the "s" is pronounced like an English "s" and not "sh."
I'm sure it's the same as Marsaili, just a variant spelling.

First so its more MAR-sah-li, but I could be wrong... We central Scotland types aren't reknowned for our pronounciation :)
