Gigi, Fifi, Mimi...
and whatever others there are. Do you like these names? Would you ever use them? I am talking about them as nicknames, just so you know, but if you would use them as full names speak up! I have to admit that I have a huge crush on Gigi for someone with the initials G.G. and a small crush on Mimi for Miriam.

I hate them! I hate them so much! All I can think when I hear them are poodles and gossiping Greek old ladies.

I like 'emI admit it! These names have zip. They are like comic book sound effects, like "zing!" and "kablooey!". They are colourful and cheap and flashy. And I like that. They are like dancers in the Zigfield Follies with flasks in their garters and butterfly knives hidden in their lingerie drawers backstage. I would definitely use them. In fact I like Mimi as a name in its own right.I had a beautiful fish named Mimi once.... Big Fat Mimi. So beautiful.

I love Gigi as a nickname for Georgiana/Georgia/Georgina.I am however not fond of Fifi or Mimi - Fifi sounds too much like a whimsical fairy and Mimi is the Maori word for urinating and therefore unusable for me and a lot of others with some knowledge of the Maori language here in New Zealand.I do like Zizi could be a nice change to Izzy/Issy for Isabella/Isabelle and all its variants.

Vivi and Ziziare my nn's for my combos Vivienne Violette and Zoe Zenobia. I wouldn't use these, or anything like these, such as you suggested, as full names; but along the same lines I love Coco as a nn for Socorro, and that's probably the closest I would come to using a nickname-ish name like these.

I like Gigi and Mimi (Miriam). Dede is also kind of cute (I have an aunt by the name).Cece is also a cute NN for Cecilia/Cecelia.

Fifi has always been the name of a French poodle to me. I tend to like the others though, purely as nicknames (although when I was about 11 I went through this phase were I LOVED Kiki on its own, idk). Currently I am loving Cece for Cecilia. Gigi as a nickname for Georgia and it's variants, and Ginevra, has always been a love. I never thought of Mimi for Miriam, but it is adorable. I also really love Bebe for Beatrice/Beatrix, Vivi for Vivian or Genevieve, and Leelee (although I can never pin a spelling, they tend to look like butcherings of Lily) for Leonora or Liliana.

The only Gigi I know is a NN for Gabriella Grace. I've known a few Mimi's in which that is their actual given name. I knew twins once who's names were Mia and Tia, but they went by Mimi and Titi.

Would only use Cece as a full name! Gigi is adorable as a nickname for Gilbertine GraziellaMimi reminds me of a show here in Britain called Shameless

Mimi is a common nickname for Miriam where I live and I think it's really cute :)

I think Didi and Gigi are fine. Gigi for pretty much any name that starts with Gi-, like Ginger, Ginevra, Georgia, Gillian etc, and Virginia. I'm not a big fan of initial-nicknames. G.G. is just that, it's not Gigi.
Mimi is so-so. Not my style really, but it's alright.
Fifi is ... well, probably not something one should call a child from the start. It's something a person would grow into by accident because it suited her.

I think they're super cute and would use 'em. As nicknames. I know a Gabriella "Gigi." I do like Mimi for Miriam too, and almost any other M name. Fifi is I guess the silliest of all of them, but it's still funny not-horrible-funny.

I love Gigi, it's my username on another baby names forum, as my initials are G.G. My hairdressers name is Mimi, whether it's her real name or just a nn, I really don't know. I also think of Mimi, in The Drew Carey Show. I think Fifi, is a good name for a poodle. I wouldn't use them as full names, nn's ONLY!

I like Gigi for Georgina or Georgiana, Fifi for Ophelia and Mimi for Jemima. I couldn't see them as full names though as I think they could only be used as nicknames for a little girl.

They make me think of pampered poodles.... I like Lulu though (does that count?)
I think they're sort of cute as nns, but not something I would purposely use. If I had a Miriam I'd push for Miri, but if she ended up a Mimi I could handle it :P

I think most are ok as nicknames (like Gigi, Didi, Mimi, Cece), but Fifi will forever be a French poodle to me.
