Cecily
I just recently began loving the name Cecily. It's been the favorite name of a friend of mine for a while, and it's grown on me. Cecilia has been on my list for a while, but not Cecily. So, what do you think of Cecily? Any middle name ideas? Also, do you prefer Cecily or Cecilia? Thanks!

I don't like either one, but if I had to pick I'd go with Cecily.

I've liked Cecily ever since I read "The Outlaws of Sherwood"... which is probably why it gives me a medieval sort of feel. As far as nns, I like Sess (Cec? Cess?). Although it doesn't really need a nn. I like Cecilia nn Celia too. Cecily Raine, Cecily Annelise, Cecily Iseult, Cecily Willow, Cecily Agrona, Cecily Siobhan, Cecily Pascale, Cecily Ivy, Cecily Annis, Cecily Sparrow

I prefer Cecilia, personally.Cecilia is a family name for me, so I've always had it as a possible name on my list. The sounds in the name Cecily, for some reason, remind me too much of the word "sissy."And I always think back to the film version of A Room With A View where the snooty and pretentious Cecil almost marries our hotblooded heroine Lucy.

I've always enjoyed Cecily: my dad was one of the last Cecils. Cecilia is a good song but an excessively fluffy and frilly name. There was a birth announcement recently: Cecily Alice Jean. Hard to improve on that.

Ooh, I love Cecily! x) It's so delicate yet strong, simple but complicated. :P It feels like everything. And I prefer Cecily to Cecilia.

I love it and would use it if I didn't have a friend named Cecily.

Cecily is absolutely gorgeous. It's my favorite name at the moment. It's been a permanent fixture on my list since I was about 16 (21 now). I do sometimes switch it out with Cecilia, but lately I've come to think of Cecilia as sounding "old," whereas I find Cecily much lighter, daintier, and more fresh. Cecily Abigail
Cecily Miranda
Cecily Rebekah
Cecily Elizabeth
Cecily Juliet
Cecily Violet
Cecily Anneliese
Cecily Margaret
Cecily Amanda
Cecily Theresa
Cecily Cordelia
Cecily Constance
