Julia?
I know someone who is expecting and they're pretty sure that they want to name the baby Julia. What do you think? Any combos? Thanks!

It always makes me think of Germans, since there's a German exchange student named Julia.

I would've named my daughter Julia, probably, if I hadn't had a good friend who had a daughter Julia only six months older. It's the most perfect feminine name in the English language, all things considered. IMHO.Mine might've been Julia Marguerite or Julia Carolee.

I love Julia! It has such an understated elegance. It reminds me of "Brideshead Revisited". Well done on choosing such a beautiful name. I think it would go well with a flowery, sophisticated middle name:Julia Rosamund
Julia Rosalind
Julia Avelina
Julia Elizabeth

I think it is a pretty common name. But that is because it is pretty, strong yet feminine and sophisticated.
Julia works with a simple middle name like Rose, Joyce, Elise and with longer more sophisticated names like Evangeline, Patrice, Felicity, Guinevere.

I like Julia and I think it's become a classic. You can't go wrong with it. It is slightly too common for my tastes, and at the moment I prefer Juliet, but it's a solid choice that will grow well with the child. I think it needs a middle name that's a little bit less common to balance it out.
