Sebastiana
How do you feel about the name Sebastiana? Is it too long in the first name spot, ridiculous if used by English speaking parents?I'm really liking it at the moment. The pool of middle names [I would use two] that I'm considering are: June, Jane, Beatrice, Eve, Flora, Louise, Blanche, Pearl, Frances, Viola. [Any other suggestions?]

I do think it's too long, and there aren't really any nice nicknames that I can think of.Sebastiana June would be the combo I like best.

It's four syllables, so no longer than Isabella. Thanks though. ;)

It certainly is a mouthful. If you use it, pick a good nickname and a short middle name.

I like it a lot more than Sebastian. I think it is very regal and elegant- a beautiful deep red. It is too frilly for my tastes but I'd like to see it on someone else's child. What would you use for a nn? It is too long to go without one. Tia would be quite cute. Or Basti.Sebastiana June Frances would be my first pick. Second would be Sebastiana Eve Beatrice.

That's such a lovely way of describing it. :)I think I'd use Ana as a nickname.

Something about it just doesn't have the same appeal as Sebastian does on a boy. Sounds like someone's trying too hard to sound sophisticated and it kinda bombs and has the opposite effect.

I think Sebastiana is ok. It's a little long though which is why I'd think about nicknames before even considering using it in the first name spot. I kinda like Sebastiana Pearl and Sebastiana Louise.

I quite like it (not as much as my beloved Sebastian though). I know brothers named Fabijan and Sebastijan (named after the Saints that have the same name day), and Fabijan named his daughter Sebastijana.
