I like it. It's unusual, it's got a good meaning and a crisp, pleasant sound, and Pru is a very cute nn. Prudence Ivy would be nice.

I don't like it - it makes me think of Prunes. And it sounds really old fashioned because the actual word "prudence" is never used nowadays. Having said that, I do know a little girl aged around 3 called Prudence.

If you want middle names I think it needs to go with a really cute short middle name to even it out because Prudence is quite long and clunky.

I knew a Prudence, known as Pru, who had a sister Susan, known as Sue. That was kitchy, but the name has a certain austerity which I like.

I'm on the fence with this one.

I love the nickname Pru and I love the harsh sound of it. Yet it's almost too harsh, too tied to a 1940s, overly religious household.
