I don't like Hamish. It sounds comical to me, because for so long it was the 'joke' Scottish name that nobody actually used. Just in the last couple of years it's been revived, but because I don't know many kids that age, I haven't yet got used to Hamish as an ordinary name.

I like the name Hamish. A lot of my mates have a Hamish (friend named Hamish). In New Zealand there are twin sport stars named Hamish and James. Which I think is interesting as Hamish is like the Scottish form of James or something.
I like the combo Hamish Christian Atticus.
