Leonard
So, I'm kinda crushing on Leonard lately. I just think it's old-fashioned, dignified, and handsome, in a very subtle way. I also dig the NN Leo.WDYT?

I like it. I think it's handsome. I pronounce it LEH-oo-nard, not LEN-ard.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of Leonard, but I love Leo on it's own.

I love Leonard. I was pretty happy when it on the short list of boy's name my husband's cousin had (along with Stanley and Frank). I was rooting for Leonard, nn Lenny. In the end they had a daughter - Aoife.Len is a good nn too. I like Leo but in it's own right not as a nn. I think it was Leonard from Big Bang Theory that turned me on to the name.

Leonard's too nerdy for me. I'd prefer plain old Leo.

I don't like Leonard, but love Leonardo. I think it's because all Leonards I know are old men and Leonardos are cute little kids (Leonardo is quite popular here).

Do you say it like Le-o-nard or Lenn-ard? When I read it, I think Le-o-nard and I like it, but when I hear it it's always Lenn-ard and I don't like it as much. I like the idea of Leonard nn Leo though.

LEN-ard.

Oh, but Leo doesn't make sense as a nickname in that case. Len would be the intuitive nn (and I don't like Len).

That doesn't matter to me. After all, Peggy is a nickname for Margaret, and Chuck is a nickname for Charles. Sometimes that happens. I like Lenny, though.
