Pastel
Just encountered Pastel as a name of a relative of a facebook and other group acquaintance. It's different that what I'd typically think of for a name.

Goodness. I'd expect siblings called Word and Canvas; and I'd also expect lifelong confusion with Pascal.

Kind of cheesy, IMHO. I don't like it at all.

Hmm, it means pastry in Spanish, so I'd say it's pretty unappealing for a name. That said, I like the sound (I love Pascal), and the time for naming people after art supplies may have arrived. Tempera, anyone?

I like the second syllable but not the first. The EL ending is a component of other names and sounds nice, but the PAST sounds leaves me cold. Overall, I have to say that I don't like it.

Really, really don't like it. Sorry.

On one hand I don't like it because I don't really like pastel colors, and it seems a little silly for a name. But on the other hand, I really like the sound of it!
