I'm not sure how I feel about it. I love -nassa names, but dislike the Jan- part.

I like Janessa! I like the 'essa' part, and don't like Vanessa much.

I had a waitress named Janessa once. She looked to be in her late twenties.

It's not the worst name I've heard, but it lacks substance. I prefer plain Jane.

Eh. I don't really care for it, but most names that end in -ssa seem dated to me, so that's probably why.

i have a friend named Janessa. i never gave much thought to the name until i seen it on her. she's really cool and down to earth.

I like it. It's not at the top of my list, but is much preferable to many other modern trendy choices and smooshed names.
