Thoughts on Henry?
I'm also really liking this name at the moment, normally not my style (then again, compared to some of my girl names it sort of is). So thoughts on Henry? Also, what would you use it with? The first combo that comes to mind is Henry James, but James is a very popular middle name. The second ones are Henry George and then Henry John... but I'm wanting to get a little more different.

I really like Henry. It's very strong and handsome. Out of your combos, I like Henry John the best, but what about Henry Jonathan?
Here are some combos I've come up with.
Henry Alasdair
Henry Oliver
Henry Evander
Henry Elias
Henry Benedict
Henry Wendell
Henry Joseph
Henry Arthur
Henry Silas
Henry Bernard
Henry Ambrose

For most of my life, I didn't care for Henry but now I quite like it. It's very retro, very handsome and shall I say, almost sexy. Re: combos, I never gave it much thought. Let's see:
Henry Alexander
Henry Christopher
Henry Conall
Henry David
Henry Declan
Henry Dominic
Henry Duncan
Henry Eamonn
Henry Edmund
Henry Gabriel
Henry Gavin
Henry Matthew
Henry Paul
Henry Peter
Henry Sebastian
Henry Stephen
Henry Thomas
Henry Victor
Henry Vincent
Henry William
Henry Xavier
Henry James is my favorite of your combos.
ETA that if I were to have a ds named Henry, I'd call him Hal. I'm not sure why I love that nn but I do. Also, my eldest dd went to school with a guy named Hank. It's an old-fashioned nn but it suited him well.

I love Henry. I know four of them, ages 8, 17, 17, and 86.
Henry James, George, and John are all great, but if you'd like something a little different:
Henry Balthazar
Henry Aloysius
Henry Lucian
Henry Isaiah
Henry Dagfinn
Henry Lysander
Henry Apollo
Henry Casimir
Henry Kai
Henry Solomon
Do any of these jump out at you?

I love Henry and Henry James is great! Even if James is popular, it's a classic name. Henry George is also a great combo - I prefer it over Henry John, which isn't bad, but a little bland to me.
Let's see, how about:
Henry Simon
Henry Oliver
Henry Miles
Henry Charles
Henry Karl
Henry Jasper
Henry Robert
Henry Felix
Henry Byron
Henry Alan
Henry Leo
Henry Sebastian
Henry Jude
Henry Graham

I quite like Henry Oliver and Henry Jasper!
I've always liked the name Jasper, as well as Casper (related). And considered using it, but thought people might get the wrong idea considering they're modern usage (live action Casper movie with Christina Ricci is my alltime fave movie, and I've read/watched Twilight and the character Jasper is my favourite)... but its somewhat safe as a middle name...
Henry Charles is also nice :)

Henry is my favourite boys name.
Henry James is very safe. Henry George and Henry John are nice enough, but slightly dull. Henry, George, and John are all very similar in feel which is nice, but certainly not unexpected or different.
What is your usual boys name style? The mn slot is a great place to try out all the names you aren't quite brave enough to use as a fn.
Should I ever have another son his name will be Henry Francis F___ (family surname). Not very adventurous, but it's honouring.
