Mandy
I like it but I wouldnt name a child it, Dont know why. Anyway I think Of Emmerdale ( A english tv programme set in the country) so it has good views as that Mandy was funny down to earth and a yorkshire lass like myself.I used to hate it but now I find myself warming up to it wdyt?

It's my nickname (my real name is Amanda). I guess I like it, lol.

I think it's nice. I actually quite like it as a full fn.

My first thoughts upon seeing the name...Well you came and you gave without takin'
But I sent you away, oh Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shakin'
And I need you today, oh Mandy

I like Mandy as a nn for Amanda or Miranda. I think both Amanda and Miranda have great meanings, so I prefer one of them as formal name."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

Mum to Hayley Anne. :)I like Mandy or Manda as a nn for Amanda. I had a friend named Amanda when I was little and she was really nice, her nn was Mandy.

I don't care for Mandy. It's too nny for my taste and whenever I hear it the lyric "Oh Mandy well, you came and you gave without taking" plays over and over again in my head.

I rather like it too. My friend Amanda is often called Mandy and there was a little girl named Mandy on a TV show I used to watch and there was a book series about a girl named Mandie that I used to read. I almost like it on it's own without being a nicname (mostly because I dislike Amanda) but if I was to use it as a full name I'd most likely spell it Mandie because it's longer and looks more complete to me.But to honor my friend Amanda (and family members) I've chosen Amy which I adore! :)Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I remember reading a series of books as a child, 'Milly Molly Mandy', which was short for Millicent Margaret Amanda. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.

Mandy's the name of my roommate, and because of her, I rather like the name. I didn't before I met her.She absolutely hates her full name--and I can't say I'm much more fond of it, myself--so I'd use Mandy as a nickname for Amandine or perhaps Amadea. :DIt's not something I'd be likely to use, either, though.Array
"Phineas. That's an interesting name."
"Yeah. It's Latin for 'kick me'."
