I like it a lot, mostly for a girl, thought it could work just fine for a boy too, there is something undeniably femmy about it for me. I think it's the e on the end. It makes me think of flowers and pretty wrought-iron fences. No sense, I know. The only probalem I have with it is that as soon as I combo it, it starts to look like a contraction of "poor". Something like, say, Poe Lydia is "Po' Lydia". It saddens me! I like it best as a middle-name-first name. So, Lydia Poe, called Poe. For example.

I kinda like Poe. I can imagine giving it to a girl in the middle names slot I suppose (not personally, but I think its kind of a cool idea). Maybe like:Emmaline Poe
Luna Poe
Esme Poe
Isadora Poe
Lenora Poe
Morgana Poe
Vienne Poe
Ysabel Poe

Might I add, the littlest Teletubby ("Po"). So, make that 3 misses out of 4.Poet makes a better name (female IMO), and could be called Poe, but that's still not great.

As in Edgar Allen, totally name. As in (mercifully outdated) slang name for a chamberpot, totally not name. As in po-faced, ditto. If you can go with one hit out of three, then go for it.
