Re: Margaret

I'm sure by now it's no secret here that it's my favorite name ever and has been since I was about 14, and that we plan to name our first daughter Margaret. I agree with your perception of it, and I also like about it how I can see it on nearly any kind of girl. And it's just so lovely to say.
Of those combos, my favorites are:
Margaret Eleanor
Margaret Ellen
Margaret Wilhelmina
Margaret Rosalie - I really like this
Cora Margaret
Margaret Opal
Zelda Margaret - very close to my great-grandma's name, Zella Margarett
I like to stay mostly basic with Margaret, nothing too fancy.

I agree totally with seeing it on any type of girl. With a lot of names I get such a definite picture of what someone should look like or what their personality should be. It's enough to make me not want to use those names. Like my honoring combo Marion Elspeth. I love it so much, but I already know what a Marion Elspeth would look like and how she would act. Imposing my own perceptions on a kid like that just doesn't seem fair.
Your great-grandma's name is really pretty! I love Z names.
Thank you for your comments! :)
