Carousel
This "name" has been going round and round inside my head...LULZ don't hate me, I had chocolate for breakfast.
I think it has a pretty sound and worst case scenario Carol or Carrie could be used as a nickname.
I actually thought of it as a name for a horse first, should it stay that way? But it has such pretty imagery....

Hmm, it's actually strangely wonderful! I wouldn't use it IRL, but what a great name for a character (or a horse!).
Yes, stay with it for a horse. It's a cute word, but I wouldn't use it. For a story, maybe. Carousel is a musical, it's it?
Karusell is the Swedish spelling, BTW, it's pr. like the English word.

I find it silly and weird on a human being. Definitely save it for a horse.
It is actually pretty cool. I'm not sure how I'd feel about seeing it used in real life. Probably think it was silly. But it's definitely fun to think about. Mostly your post just made me laugh... going round and round in your head... Ha, pun.
I'm not feeling it for a person, I just don't see it working, it's a bit too much - the sound and particularly the look is not that appealing when you hear it on someone imo. Carol and Carrie feel quite dated.
However, on a horse it completely changes, it's quite whimsical and quirky, I don't mind the sound either, I don't know why the I love the sound on a horse but not a person, I'm just weird that way:)

LOL, don't feel that you are weird. It makes PERFECT sense that Carousel works better on an animal ;) Even I recognize that!
I do like it :) and the nicknames.
The only downside is the impending teasing from kids. :(

I don't see the appeal.
It's pretty but definitely a pet's name.
Horse not girl.
It sounds like a GP pick on a person to me. I could see Carol or Carrie as a nn. Pets can be named just about anything and its okay imo.

I hadn't thought of it as a first name before, but it has a nice sound, and I agree that the imagery is pretty. It's very whimsical.
Carousel "Carrie" would be fantastic for a character. I could totally picture it working for a sweet, imaginative, slightly offbeat girl. It would work well for a horse too.

I think it's sweet. Don't know how well it would age (of course on the right person...).
True dat. Hmm.
I like it!
It's whimsical and pretty. :)

yeah!
I know right?? I love whimsical things so it fits right in with my wacky sense of what is nice. Also it has a touch of the old-fashioned about it too (in that carousel horses are kinda old fashioned) so that makes it darn near perfecto.
