Penelope
What do you think of Penelope?
I used to dislike this name, but it's been growing on me lately. A lot. What would you pair it with? I thought maybe a one syllable name could work?

I absolutely love it. I had a Cabbage Patch doll with the name as a kid, but I did not really like the name then. I think it is spunky and beautiful. I love Penelope Iris and Iris Penelope.

I think it's nice. It's very upbeat and fun, and I love how orange it is.I like the combo Penelope Jane a lot. Jane is purple, so I love the color combination, and I like how the nice down-to-earth Jane pairs up with it.

A perfect name in my opinion- one of the top five we considered for our daughter. Penelope Charlotte & Penelope Antoinette were pairings we had in mind.

Those combos actually redeem the name a little.

Penelope isn't my style, but it's a good name. It can fit a lot of girls- from serious to youthful, shy to extroverted, etc. A single syllable middle name sounds best...not that I can think of much.Penelope Bess
Penelope Eve
Penelope Gwen
Penelope Ruth
Penelope Sol
Penelope Zoeand breaking this rule-
Dora Penelope
Penelope Anouk
Penelope Lenore
Victoria Penelope

I don't really like it but I throw it in combos because a lot of people do. It reminds me of Penelope Pitstop (terribly annoying), cantalope (which I don't like, and loping (which then brings to mind a long-legged cowboy or a giraffe. Some combo ideas for you:Penelope Elaine
Penelope Wren
Penelope Islay
Penelope Quinn
Penelope Greer
Penelope Felice
Penelope Shay
Penelope Winona
Penelope Gris (GREE)
Penelope Kate/CateIsla Penelope
Fiona Penelope
Una Penelope
Ima Penelope
Iva Penelope

It's growing on me too, actually. I think it has this glistening, elegant feel to it. Kind of like pearls. But somehow, it sounds geeky in a good way. :)Penelope June has always been a favorite, even though it is a little boring. :/

That's a pretty fitting description. And Penelope June isn't boring.
