I prefer Jane; it's sleek, timeless, and elegant. Jill is cute, but I see it as a nickname instead of a given name. I think both names age well, but Jane especially. I've also seen the spellings Gill (which I dislike because of pronunciation problems) and Jayne (where I think the y is unnecessary).
