Re: Lucinda?
in reply to a message by lilah
Lucinda's a pleasant name. I think of Luci before I think of Linda, but if you like both, then it's a good mix without feeling tacky or smushed.
One of the symptoms of me being 1 of the people responding is that a high percentage of my nature names are Jpns.Lucinda Kaede's kinda pretty (rhymes w/ Friday)
I wouldn't use Sparrow as a name, but some others on the list would...
Lucinda Willow
Lucinda Mizuki (w/ kanji for beautiful moon... me-zoo-kee)
Lucinda Namie (na-me-eh/ay... wave/waves-grace/inlet/picture/branch... depending on kanji you choose)
Lucinda River
Lucinda Ocean
Lucinda Giraffe (just kidding... that one was just random nature)
Lucinda Hikari (light)
Lucinda Hikaru (ditto)
Lucinda Jasmine
Lucinda Miki (tree trunk)
Lucinda Minatsu (beautiful summer)
L Chinatsu (thousand summer)
L Harumi (spring season-beautiful)
L Miharu (beautiful spring)
L Hiromi (wide/ocean-beautiful)
L Youko (sunshine-child)
L Mei (rice plant or light, depending on kanji chosen)
L Midori (green or jade, depending on kanji)
L Jade (since the topic came up)
L Ruby
L Pearl (normally, I really dislike Pearl, but a few names manage to redeem it and this is 1 of them)
L Emerald
L Sapphire
L Mizue (me-zoo-eh/ay... water-grace/inlet/picture/branch... depending on kanji you choose)
L Izumi (ee-zoo-me... spring or peaceful spring... as in the water kind of spring)
L Maki (podocarpis plant)There are various others... but I won't bother going through the whole file unless you want me to. Hope they're naturey enough for you.
