Fine, outside of Australia.

It's an Australian car brand of General Motors. Why would anyone name a kid after a car? Makes no sense to me.

I always think of Joey Tribiani's one-time stage name on "Friends":

It sounds masculine, but all I can think of is that it like naming you kid Holdin' and I want to say: "what is he holdin'?" LOL
It really isn't a bad name though.. I'm sure it's just me with that whole association thing.

Not a fan of Holden. I can't stand the most famous namesake (Catcher in the Rye) and to me it sounds like hold 'em -as 'hold 'em up' when you get arrested.

I love Holden, because I love "The Catcher In The Rye." I think it's an endearing name; a little old-fashioned, a little charmingly-awkward. I love it.

I've always liked this name quite a lot. Some might consider the "Catcher in the Rye" association a drawback, but it doesn't bother me. It's a handsome name. It comes close to being one of those names that seem to try too hard to be ruggedly masculine---by that I mean names such as Brandon and Heath. It comes close, but not quite. There is something a little softer about it, but it's still quite masculine, and as I already said, handsome. I quite approve of the use of Holden.
