Thanks for all the comments!
I really enjoyed reading through them all. It is good to know that most people would pronounce the name the same way I would.

I think it's lovely, and I like both pronunciations, but I prefer suh-FEAR-ruh. I actually would be more inclined to pronounce Safira suh-FEAR-uh since it has an Arabic look to it even though it's Esperanto. It reminds me of Samira and Safiya.
Sapphira could really go either way, but it resembles the word "sapphire" more than Safira does, so it seems like people would be more likely to pronounce it suh-FYE-ruh than they would Safira.

I like it, and it's best in this spelling.
I pronounce this name as saf-FYE-rah, like Sapphire.
I only pronounce it suh-FEAR-uh if it's spelled Saphira, like in The Inheritance Cycle books.
While I do like this name, I personally wouldn't use it.

I prefer Safira and pronounce it accordingly as 'sah-FEE-rah'. Nice name, one of few jewel names I like.
I was randomly thinking about this name the other day. I like it, but I can't decide if it is too tacky or not
I prn it like suh-FEER-uh, too. It's really pretty.
I'd pronounce Sapphira and Saphira suh-FYE-ruh. Safira would make me hesitate and I'd probably wonder aloud between the two pronunciations.
Pronounced suh-FYE-ruh...I'd never use it, but I think it'd be great on a little girl.
Pronounced suh-FEAR-uh...It seems more made-up. I could easily see it on a lion in a Disney movie. I think I like this pronunciation better.

I don't like it; I think it sounds cheap. It reminds me of a knock-off ring.
I pronounce it sa-FEER-ah.
I pronounce it sa-FEER-ah.
Same here.
I believe it sounds like a name for a stripper, or a fake gemstone brand.

I think Sapphira is nice and I pronounce it as you do but, funny enough, I would have phoneticized it as suh-FEER-uh. Your suh-FEAR-uh just made me consider her dark side. ;) I'm not one who feels gem-related names are tacky/trashy/stripperish (for the most part) and this one doesn't even hint at that for me. This is the spelling I prefer, especially because of the gem association.

I pronounce it as sah-FEAR-ah as well. And I like the spelling Saphira; sa-FIE-rah just sound strange, imo. In Christopher Paolini's books, The Inheritance Cycle, one of the main characters, a blue, female dragon, is named Saphira. Since reading those books, I've become quite fond of the name though personally I would never use it because of the association with the books.
"Hi, what's your name?"
"Saphira. I was named after a fictional dragon in a chronicle books that never faired well." :o/
But then again it could be seen as:
"Hi, what's your name?"
"Saphira. I was named after a book written about the adventures of mythical dragons. Wanna play Barbies?"

Hmmm... I have seen the movie only because I have kids. I first heard of the name in a book called "Mama Day". Sapphira was the name of a slave. I have been in love with it since then.
I love the sound of it and the imagery of sapphires. It doesn't hurt that they are my birthstone. :0)
