Love it.

I like it. I really like the nicknames Tavi and Tavia.

I love it and believe it deserves to be used much more than it is.

I like it and would love to meet a little Octavia.

It's very pretty and kind of musical, probably because it makes me think of octaves. But it does sound very fancy. It also sounds vaguely like a country, for some reason. Exploring the far-flung jungles of Octavia.

i think it's pretty. i knew this girl in the 6th grade with this name, she was friends with one of my friends. She was those tall, tough girls but she was nice though. When i think of just the name itself it sounds very elegant. It'd be nice as a first name.

LOL finally!I was getting weirded out by the rave reviews this name was getting. Totally unexpected. I'm glad I'm not dreaming.

I agree, octopus (not pretty) or octagon.

I quite like Octavia, I'm thinking of adding it to my list. I used to prefer Tavia, but I definitely prefer Octavia, now. I know a lot of people say they can't imagine a little girl named Octavia, but I can. It's a lovely, royal-sounding name =)

I think it's beautiful and stately. I love it.

I love it, but I kind of think that it is too "out there" for me to use it personally.

I love Octavia. It's both strong and feminine, which is one of my favorite combinations of traits in a female name.

I think it's a very heavy name, kind of ostenstatious, that few people could pull off. I'm also not fond of the meaning. But I don't think it's terrible, and on the right person I think it could work quite well.
