I've never heard of it before, but it's really interesting. I'd pronounce it zoh-sim-AY (I think that's the same as your zo-sim-E pronunciation). I think Zoe, Zo and Simmie make fine nicknames, but I think I like Zo best, perhaps even spelled Zoh. Yeah, I like that. Zosime nn Zoh.
